They tell you when you get there, that when you leave it’ll be hard to explain just what happened or how you feel.

They’re not wrong.

One year ago I was in London, running around the city for the first time. That time I came out of the tube station right next to Big Ben and all those times sitting in Kings Cross waiting for my train back to the manor, it kind of felt like home.

That’s the funny thing about studying abroad. You leave home for a place you have no expectations for and then it starts feeling like home. To me, it’s Tortilla on Russell Square, Kings Cross Station and Grantham village. It’s the rolling hills, and the time I tried Matcha tea and an almond croissant at 5am in Edinburgh. Learning how the airports worked and accidentally sitting at a really expensive restaurant near Trafalgar square and only ordering a plate of macrons.

I can’t express how much I loved it all. I’m so glad I have this blog because sometimes it still feels like a dream.

If you’re considering studying abroad, do it. A year goes by so quickly. Make sure you’re checking out my travel posts in the drop down menus above! Let me know if you want to see more travel posts or have any questions! I’d love to do a Q&A post!
